Biomechanical Assessment

Biomechanical Assessment

We specialise in providing a comprehensive Biomechanical assessment service to treat common but often complex presentations. The lower limb kinetic chain can be influenced by any joint segment; the Biomechanical Assessment aims to highlight these compensatory movements allowing us to prescribe effective treatment or orthotic devices.

A Biomechanical Assessment is an hour long appointment comprised of 3 main parts:

1. Physical Examination of the lower limb including closed and open chain assessment

2. Pressure Plate Analysis

3. Quintic Video Analysis.

We take a multi-disciplinary approach to Biomechanics assessment and work closely with other members of the clinical team in order to reach the optimal result. Uniquely our orthotics service is supported by onsite manufacturing allowing increased quality control and quick turnaround. Our London clinic is situated within 100 metres of the Wimbledon Park tube station.
